ORESTES, A MYTH

This Greek myth tells a long story of retribution and bloodshed. It questions the concepts of justice while entertaining the body, mind and spirit.

Long before Hamlet, Orestes struggled with the ultimate decision -- to avenge his father's murder. Long before Orestes, his father Agamemnon killed his daughter Iphegenia in order to summon winds for the warships. Clytemnestra, his wife, then took a lover while Agamemnon was at war. Upon his return, they killed him. Orestes now returns from exile and must decide whether or not to give into his infernal desire for revenge. Can he kill Clytemnestra, his mother?

This poetic retelling of the myth is an original production and weaves stunning images with slightly modern text and a very talented cast including:

Camila Borrero
Jennifer Dees
Rebecca Dutton
Filipe Gomes
Jessica Roylance
